SARRRAH® (Search and Rescue, Resuscitation and Rewarming in Accidental Hypothermia) is a project based on the rescue at sea with the aim to improve the support of severe hypothermic patients.

Participants are our partners:

  • University of Lübeck

  • UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER Schleswig-Holstein

  • German Institute for Naval Medicine

  • DSM German Seamen's Mission

  • German Maritime Search and Rescue Service

  • 5th Naval Airwing

And the listed hospitals within the SARRRAH®-Project in northern Germany.

These hospitals are prepared for the treatment of patients with severe hypothermia within the SARRRAH®-Project.


AIMS OF THE SARRRAH®-PROJECT

  1. Improvement of the primary rescue and the rescue chain.

  2. Support use of independent advice.

  3. Scientific evaluation of the rescue and treatment course
    (The collection of data has been finished).
