TACTICAL PROCEDURE IN ACCIDENT WITH HYPOTHERMIA

1. Gather necessary informations

1. State of consciousness?

2. Respiration / Artificial respiration?

3. Resuscitation?

4. Additional injuries?

5. Age (in children)?

6. Location and expected time of patient transfer?

7. Select appropriate clinic!
   (Must the patient into a hospital within the SARRRAH®-Project in northern Germany with heart-lung machine?)

2. Select hospital within the SARRRAH®-Project

1. Selection of the next tactically and medically appropriate hospital, in consultation with the primary care doctor.

2. Contact the hospital within the SARRRAH®-Project!

3. The on-duty senior physician / physician station require:

   "Is the acquisition of a patient with hypothermia in the above specified state in about ... Minutes / hours possible?"

4. Inform the hospital again when the arrival time is actually predictable!
